Since 2007, at Lugdunum Bouchon Lyonnais we aim to offer our clients high-standard, gourmand, and generous meals, prepared with the care and love that our entire team shares for fine food.


About the Chef

Christophe Paucod is the Owner-Chef of the restaurant Lugdunum Bouchon Lyonnais.

He started his culinary career with an apprenticeship in the famous French restaurant GILL – 2 Michelin Stars – under the supervision of Chef Gilles Tournadre.

After obtaining his diploma, he worked in several prestigious establishments such as Hôtel Normandy ***** in Deauville, La Tour d’Argent*** in Paris, Hôtel Bristol ***** in Paris, Prunier* in Paris.

In April 1998, Christophe decided to leave France and arrived in Japan. He first joined the famous school of Cordon Bleu as a cooking teacher. Then he became executive Chef of the Sofitel Tokyo Hotel and Corporate Chef for the Accor Japan Group.

In 2007, he created the first “bouchon lyonnais” in Japan.
Christophe always wanted to share his love for his hometown and its famous and delicious specialties. Today, he is more than happy to welcome his customers at Lugdunum Bouchon Lyonnais.
